I'm Chinese, so there are a set of rules/superstition I have to follow during the confinement (post-birth healing) month, and one of them is no hair-washing. Supposedly prevents getting migraines and headaches when I'm older, I dunno. So had to cut my hair short beforehand to better endure it. Not reli a believer, but in-laws are old-school, so had to do it whether I like it or not
