Often at work, kids will inevitably whine and tell me that they miss their moms... it makes me miss mine every time I hear it. "I want to go home" is a common phrase I hear from them. While their mothers and homes are mere hours away... mine is so distant it makes my heart ache. When I console them, I'm also talking to myself as a way to cope.
