Adriana lives in a world where her people—Vampires—are enslaved to human kind. Adriana tries to elude the slave traders by passing as a human, but she ends up being caught and sold. As time passes, she begins to develop feelings for the one who bought her. Her young master, Lewis, appears aloof and distant, and he doesn’t seem to be his true self around her. What is he hiding? Who is the figure in the dark? Does Lewis know about any of it?
