250 million years have passed since the fall of human civilization. The last survivors, the occupants of a time-traveling Ark launched into the future, established a new settlement and formed the acclaimed group of explorers called the New Earth Survey Team (NEST). The group has since faded into obscurity, and Clara Porter is reluctant to join until she uncovers a disturbing secret that threatens the survival of the human race.
