Maddie lives alone in her great-grandmother's house. Everything is normal-she lives alone and goes into the city to work in a department store 30 minutes away and visits her parents while at it, until she receives a silent call on the old telephone in her living room which hasn't been used for ages. Her friend, Taylor, goes missing and so do many more until the reports stop but the missing are not found. So she investigates herself and before she realizes she's gone too far, it's too late.(book)
