The penny drops, this is real and our hero is up to his neck in actual Vikings! The place "Grim's Thop" meaning Outlying farmstead belonging to 'Grim' is inspired by the placename near to my home 'Grimesthorpe'. There are a number of similar Viking place names where I live here in the heart of Viking Britain.
