Faith J Myers is the author of the book, "Going Crazy in Alaska," and has spent over 7 months in the state-run Alaska Psychiatric Institute. In API I faced mistreatment and loss of rights. Psychiatric facilities like API operate for convenience and that leads to patient mistreatment. Later on, I would be involved in "Myers v API," an Alaska Supreme Court case and I would prevail.
