In Northeast Ohio in the year 1984, eleven year old Alfonso Ward is sought out by the Galactic Defense Initiative, and charged with defending his home from an invading alien hoard. Guided by the aid of an observance droid named Ozzie, and a mechanical symbiont suit called Obsidian, Alfonso learns that his feelings are the key to accomplishing things he never imagined possible.
