Everyone has a soulmate (platonic or romantic) when you touch them you are transported into another dimension until you find your magical companion which allows you to go back and forth between dimensions. Time in one dimension is paused when in the other. Mint is working at a coffee shop and is giving a customer their order when their hands brush and they both end up in a new realm.
