Off the Board follows Lira, a brilliant but lonely young woman trapped in a strict work–home routine, with chess as her only escape. One night, she is pulled into a world where chess pieces exist as human beings, living under harsh rules and endless conflict. Lira belongs to no side, yet her mind makes her valuable—and dangerous. Caught in mystery and danger, she must uncover the truth of this world and find a way out by doing the one thing no piece is allowed to do: step off the board.
