Estranged by all and missing her old home, Iris Ventura opens a box of memorabilia only to be transported elsewhere - this time, in another dimension. Here, she is among the oppressed humanoid minority protected by Pulse, a crime-fighting assassin whose real identity remains unknown. In a world where being physically different is a fault, Iris must take flight and find herself in this fantasy, discovering that home is not only the places she's been to, but also in the people she learns to love.
