Edwin's world view is more developed than Otto's, Otto is at a very impressionable age, Edwin's views seem inoffensive in the contemporary Anglo-sphere but they will be completely new to Otto. I didn't want to write Edwin as having all the answers, but you're welcome to find his motivations agreeable, or detestable, or in-between.
