Cawlers: a species of humans with animal-like traits. In this society, you are either a human or a cawler, but in a world divided the outcastes have to stick together. Stranded on an island, researcher Hoatzin Arum has no choice but to place his trust in a group of ragtag pirates and their eccentric Captain Melano to get home.
