Emma is receiving telepathic messages from a mysterious black sphere she has regurgitated. She suspects that the messages are being sent from her mother, who has been missing for years. The messages are abstract and often hideous. Her father, Rhett, has remained vague about the nature of her mother’s disappearance, as though the memories baffle and terrify him. Something is reaching out for the father and daughter, something not of this world, and they dread discovering what it wants from them.
