The Scholars- man made gods responsible for fixing a crumbling world using only the knowledge vested in them by generations of capable engineers. Vehicles, armies, entire colonies have been created in their image, sparking awe and admiration in all who follow their leadership. But where awe and admiration begins, so does a conspiracy to undermine the gods and seize their knowledge. And for June, an aspiring engineer herself, the idea of untold fame and fortune is all too enticing.
