Scotland, 1749. Alan Moran, a troubled young veteran of a recent civil war, sneaks back into the country to get his hands on a lot of weapons (which he probably should not be trusted with, like, at all) and change the course of history. Which might prove harder than it seems with a nagging ghost of an ex-comrade-in-arms by his side; a dragoon regiment at his heels after a killing gone wrong; and a bunch of unsavoury types seemingly after the prize themselves. Currently on midchapter hiatus.
