Reticence follows two boys, Nez and Azure, who are displaced by rising conflicts from ecological changes. As crime surges among the less fortunate, bandits raid their village. Determined to address the root of the problem, they vow to become powerful mages. They venture off to a renowned magic school, mastering combat magic, making powerful allies, and collecting magical items. Their journey will force them to confront the concept of evil and question what it truly means to be right or wrong.
