20 years after human consciousness is successfully transferred to a machine body (or ROBO) the technology has been deemed illegal. Any ROBO transferred pre-illegality is given an id and allowed to live their lives in freedom. Those transferred after are hunted down and imprisoned. This is one ROBO-MAN's story as he traverses a polarized and discriminatory human society in a search of belonging and acceptance.
