Based around what seems like early Japanese times, a village is under siege by the infamous Assassin Core who are in hot pursuit of a former core member who has recently went rogue. In these nefarious times we follow a man by the name of Kasai and his younger sister Ruka who are the last living survivors of their village. As these two look for a new safe haven, they have been declared targets to a group of assassins in a world where super human powers are not unheard of at all.
