Alex is a boy who has spent his life confined at home due to health issues, but as his condition begins to improve, his parents decide it's time for him to experience the world like the child he was always meant to be. That same summer, they go on vacation to a hotel on a small island, where Alex meets a group of kids his age and lives a summer he will never forget.
