The year is 1665 and the once vibrant city of London is ravaged by a terrible plague. As the burial pits overflow and the dead litter the streets, the mayor and his council impose a brutal lock in order in a bid to control the infection. As the city hangs on the precipice of chaos, a mysterious apothecary believes he has found a cure for the terrible disease; with the help of a courageous plague nurse, they set out to rid the city of infection before death takes every last soul.
