TOPI get it. I have generalized anxiety disorder, paranoid anxiety disorder, ocd, and depression. And I hate it when people use the word retarded or triggered like it’s some kind of joke! It’s not. I’m also lesbian and gender fluid, and ever since I told people I was gay, the boys have been asking me if I want to go out with them, and saying they’ll turn me straight! It’s so hard to stop from self harming lately. Thank god i have comics like this one to keep me going. Thank you all so much.

TOPUsing 'triggered' as an insult or attempt to diminish the importance of triggering is also exceedingly ableist :(

TOPGod I hate this so much. Having PTSD, I have to have an entire paragraph ready to tell people not to use that word like this. It includes my understanding that they don't mean harm & that other people use it & that they probably don't know what a real trigger is. I sometimes go far enough as to explain what my triggers do to me (which is very unpleasant) when I say it in places I know are unempathetic. It's ridiculous
