Max couldn't care less about his own life, but when he meets Liam, another kid who questions life, he can't let him leave this world. Not yet. Not till he uses Liam to save his dying mother. They are both in the gang 'Shadowed Hearts' made by the notorious Jessi Heart. Liam is an orphan. Or so he was told. Jessi had raised Liam since he was an infant. He could never turn his back on her.
