A grieving moth named Micah has become mute because of trauma. He lives in a small community located in the forest with his roommates, Siamese twin raccoons named Ash and Billie. Micah meets Zane, who is an alien that idealizes the childhood possessions of Earthlings. Zane has telepathy and other abilities that become useful to Micah.
