Some humans started to be born without a soul, having telekinetic powers instead. These humans are known by a few people as Soulless and they're hidden in (what they call) an Anti-Soulless association where they are used for experimentation and tortured... that is, except for Gilbert, the only one who escaped, or so he thought..
