I reference Japanese Ninpo, and Israeli Krav Maga, Solely for their effectiveness as Martial Arts. In Comic J. Can Disarm People in a Knife fight, and I wanted to add realism for that. So what better way than the two Martial Arts Most Effective for that. Also I do take inspiration from both western comics and Manga, in this Case Agent Venom and Kamen Rider Spirits.
