Orion is a boy abandoned by his parents who lives in a small moon colony running a shop with his aunt. One day, he meets the space pirate, Apollo Jo, who reveals that he is a Starling, an infamous race of beings capable of using the power of the stars. After learning that he too is a Starling, as well as the reason why his parents left him, Orion sets off into space with Jo to find the Eternal Star, an immortal celestial capable of granting wishes, in the hopes that he may also find his parents.
