Jennie was different then most other 13 year old girls. She loved nature, playing in the dirt, reptiles, and video games. However, her "tomboy" characteristics make her an easy target for bullies. It doesn't make sense. Why does Jennie have to be so different from her peers? Why can't she just be a normal girl? Jennie wrestles with these negative thoughts as well as taunts and teases from her classmates. But then, Jennie met Darcy.
