A meteor carrying a new species of plants crashes into Earth and an infestation takes ahold. As the plants spread they begin infecting peoples bodies and minds, creating a cannabalistic host. The world transitions into anarchy and people must fight for survival. Edith and her twin brother Ender must survive in this new world under the care of their widowed grandfather.
