Once Dot was able to start articulating words and conversations were actually being had, it felt like stalemates kept coming up. I don't want to be the Dad that sneaks out but at the same time a two year old can sometimes hardly be reasoned with. Once she started recognizing the days itineraries and patterns however, she caught on pretty quick to the inevitable good bye.
