Daisuke Venyatta is a homeless youth roaming the post-apocalyptic world of Gaia which has been overrun by dangerous androids. The boy is not alone for he is accompanied by a powerful cyborg named Nero. Daisuke and Nero encounter a strange android who takes them in to join humanity's last hope, The Castle of Humanity. The troubling pasts of the young boy and the silent cyborg is revealed as the inseparable duo rise up the ranks of the Castle and fight against a never before seen evil.
