A new energy source called Athena is revolutionizing the world with its affordability and efficiency. Scott, the main character, gets exposed to it and experiences temporal schizophrenia. He finds himself in a future where a totalitarian state controls all the Athena. There, he encounters an older version of himself, who introduces him to new, more potent Athena variants with deadly side effects. Scott must find a way to return to his own time to prevent the Athena catastrophe.
