These days I can make a book a lot faster than nine months, but I think my argument still stands. Output does not equal self-worth. Success does not equal happiness. Validation does not equal love. Ironically, knowing your art is not everything will help you be a better artist. When your art does not have to carry your personhood, that is when it can be free to take risks and grow.
