The Bite That Heals when a werewolf living out of his car gets accepted into the local university via "supernatural diversity" program, he asks specifically for no roommates, due to his... well, condition. Naturally, he's incredibly disappointed and annoyed when he opens up his dorm to find another supernatural-- a vampire named Koda. The series focuses on trauma, sexuality, and gender identity, and depicts violence somewhat graphically, though not until further in the series.
