August is a bored little boy living in Victorian England. Things get interesting, though, when he receives a mysterious picture of a bluebird from his neighbor’s house. This spurs a series of letters between August and his new unseen friend. The only question is who is sending the letters and why don’t they want to meet him? A story about how love and friendship weaves its way through childhood innocence and the gritty real world.
