In a world dissolving into unfinished sketches, Gensai, an aging "Restorer", fights the void with a giant brush. He battles chaotic "Smudges" and the perfectionist editor Kira, who seeks to erase all imperfections. Using his own life force as ink, Gensai finishes the stories of the fading, granting them a complete end.
