The story is about the memories of 16-year-old boy Rennie, who had to travel halfway around the world from far away America to reach a small town called Pansa located at the foot of the majestic Hoang Lien Son mountain range of Vietnam. Here he met his life's destiny. His friends of the same age were all filled with the thoughts and feelings of adolescence. They met and lived freely like wild sunflowers in the Pansa mountains and forests.
