The Last Star follows Ren, a 16-year-old boy whose life changes when a mysterious star falls from the sky. He discovers Kuro, a talking black cat and guardian of the Last Star. When a mysterious villain attacks, Ren awakens powerful Star Energy and summons a legendary sword. After the battle, his friend Mika reveals that Ren's awakening has restarted an ancient war that began 1,000 years ago.
