I have this awful duality to my comics: Aliased (sharp) lineart makes flatting easier, but the final artwork looks less good. On the flipside, Anti-Aliased (Smooth) linework looks great, but makes flatting and coloring a monumental nightmare. I gotta try to find some sort of happy medium...
