Alex has lived all they can remember with Cy, their imaginary "friend." In reality, Cy is just a bother that won't go away. Alex assumes she's going insane or "clinically lonely," until a stranger holds out their hand and greets Cy. They treat Cy and Alex like old friends, and look eerily familiar to a figure in Alex's dreams.
