The Queen Candidate Jean Willow has a target on her back. A dangerous supernatural cult obsessed with the magic she's only just recently manifested forces her to team up with an odd ex-monster hunter named Carys, who has peculiar eyes and the ability to summon a weapon out of thin air, as well as secret knowledge about the nature of her newfound magic. Together with other hunters, they'll attempt to thwart the cult's plans to kidnap her and other mysterious young individuals known as "queen candidates."
