Since I see a lot of people concerned: I've known couples in real life who had this age gap when one of them was 18, and it was healthy relationships because mental age fit (younger person was more mature than expected, older person less so). In any case, this is fiction and there was no abuse in this case, just a toxic relationship due to the fact these two people didn't really fit. My 2 cents!
