Simla, 1905. Sent to recover her nerves in an isolated hill-station bungalow, Anjali finds herself confined to a room papered in a sickly yellow pattern. At first, the wallpaper is merely ugly. Then it begins to change. Faint shapes appear beneath the fading design. A woman seems to move behind the wall. As the monsoon deepens and the room closes around her, Anjali must decide what is real — the cure her husband has prescribed, or what she is beginning to see in the walls.
