When 8-year-old Roxy Miramontes is running away from Border Patrol, she discovers a Shrine of Time. She enters another world where she encounters a fire tiger named Kitaru. They become childhood friends before being forced to separate. Roxy grows up to be a time traveler who needs to save her time from environmental collapse. Salvation is extinct magic from the past. When she meets Kitaru again, he's tired of fighting in a war. Can they help each other or will time separate them again?
