After an earthquake devastates his hometown of Shizuoka, 14-year-old Takumi is forced to relocate to Tokyo, leaving behind his mother, who stays to rebuild. Struggling to adjust to the unfamiliar city, Takumi also grapples with the mystery of his deceased father, who once lived and worked in Tokyo.
