The Hawkins family were normal until Mrs. Hawkins was killed. Caroline Hawkins became a detective, hoping to find her mother's killer and prevent more violence, while her twin sister, Catherine, decided to pursue a career as a teacher. Meanwhile, their younger sister, Sara, decided not to go to college and instead spent six months in prison and made it out on parole. Their coping mechanisms are... quite different. But when circumstances reunite Catherine and Sara, they'll have to make do.
