in this slice of life story set around 2007 two bands are formed, The Pencil Skirts and The Smashed Spikes. both alternative "pop punk" bands are at each-others throats but must reluctantly join forces when some members of the bands are enraged at their rules for their schools prom. The main characters Evan and her girlfriend Trace (The Pencil Skirts) can't go to prom, and neither can Derek (Smashed Spikes) and his date Drew.
