College student Mel returns home from school to find that the world has changed forever. Her rural hometown has been destroyed, there are dead bodies in the streets, and her family is missing. She also discovers that she has developed mysterious powers that seem near impossible to control. Soon she meets with others who have lost their loved ones during the chaos. These people will have to learn to work together to survive in a dark and dangerous new world. Contains violence and LGBT themes
