Vesperrend Vesperrend is a series of short stories, and this is the first. It tells the story of Kallos, a child who grows up without parents in an orphanage. One day, the village where he lives is attacked and burned to the ground. Kallos and Abryram — his childhood friend — appear to be the only survivors. After leaving the village and entering the forest, Kallos longs to find a place to rest. But in his mind, one thought is already taking root: the idea of avenging the man responsible for the tragedy.
