Helene is a 17-year old shy, optimistic teen with straight A's and a loving mother and father. She was the kind of teen who never got into any trouble. The one who had her life together. Or at least, that's what she looked like. Inside of Helene's home, she is beaten constantly by her own mother, Sandra. She is verbally and physically abused and has the scars to prove it. Helene is silenced by her mother, and seems okay with it. On the outside, anyway.
